| Ptolemy IV Philopator 222-205 B.C. Ptolemaic Dynasty Ptolemy IV Philopator was the fourth ruler of the Ptolemaic Dynasty. Philopator means
'Father-loving'. He married his sister Arsinoe and the two received a cult as the Father-loving
Gods (Theoi Philopatores). He died in the summer of 204. After his death, two of his most
powerful ministers had his wife, Arsinoe III, killed.
