Hiw

Hiw is a modern town located in the southern bend of the Nile upriver from Qena and some miles south east of Girga. We note here that it was the capital of the Seventh Nome of Upper Egypt where Amun of Thebes and Hathor were worshipped, because there is nothing left of the ancient city.
