Ichneumon

Similar to a mongoose, the Ichneumon is a small rodent which attacks snakes and eats crocodile eggs. The Ichneumon, along with the shrewmouse, were associated with the sun god and were honored, particularly during the late and Greco-Roman Periods with burial and small bronze statuary.
