Viceroy of Kush
The appointed administrator of Nubia during the New Kingdom. While the position was not held by the king’s son, the origin of the title is King’s Son, and later King’s Son of Kush. The Viceroy of Kush had two deputies, one administering Upper Nubia (Kush) and the other Lower Nubia (Wawat). His territory extended as far north as Kom el-Ahmar (Greek Hierakonpolis). |
