Hesire possessed some important titles such as the "Chief Of Royal Scribes", "Chief Dentist" and "Governor of Buto". These are three of the six panels which were found decorating the interior of niches cut at the west wall of the long gallery below Hesire's mastaba.

The panels show him in different costumes and poses with his names and titles carved above him. They are very finely sculpted in low relief and their accompanying hieroglyphs are equally compelling in care, details and precision as is apparent from this particular example. They combine to highlight the best of each element in the panel, especially the body and its accessories represented in accordance with the conventions of Egyptian art.
