El Gouna Marinas
El Gouna has two marinas.
Abydos Marina
Abydos Marina was established in 1992 and is located in the South of El Gouna, next to the hotel LTI-Paradisio. Having a capacity of 40 boats, it facilitates a marina, dry-dock, ship lift for vessels up to 16m, diesel fuel station, electricity lines, channel-6 VHF and a maintenance center.
Abu Tig Marina - Abu Tig Marina Town
Abu Tig Marina Town is designed by the famous Italian architect Alfredo Freda, with a typical
Yemeni architecture. It is the first of its kind in the Red Sea. The marina town with an area of over
140,000 square meters is just part of the world class touristic resort - El Gouna, which now covers
some 17 million square meters.
It consists of a variety of outlets including restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, a club house as well as
independent real estate such as villas and apartments. Hotels will include a 5 star "Grand Hotel Du
Port" (450 rooms), two 4 star hotels (150 rooms each), and a 3 star hotel providing up to 450
apartments for daily or weekly rent. Plans also include approximately ten 20-room guesthouses, and
the entire town is built around the quayside promenade and marina basin, which will cater to the
international and local yachting community.
The first part of the marina town opened in December 2000 and includes five apartment blocks,
shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and the marina basin itself. The remaining hotels will be completed
within two years.
Real estate apartments will offer glorious panoramic views overlooking the marina basin with its
many yachts and out to the open sea. Apartments vary in size from 50 - 188 square meters, one,
two and three bedroom units with private entrance. All units have either large private roof top areas
or private gardens.
Abu Tig marina basin will offer all modern marina amenities including :
- Berthing for 126 boats
- Quayside services; metered electric, water, international telephone and cable television
- Port of Entry to Egypt, complete with harbor master, coast guard, police and customs
- Fuelling facilities/berth (Diesel and Gasoline)
- Waste Water Pump Out
- High pressure jet-wash
- Showers and Laundry for visiting yachts
- Slipway / Launching ramp
- Shops / Supplies (including fresh fruit & vegetables)
- Full range of Resort facilities
In this way, El Gouna Marina offers a wide range of amenities comparable to the best marina resorts in the world and offers a gateway to one of the planets most fascinating marine locations - the Red Sea.

CBS Charter and Lease
An Egyptian/German Enterprise, CBS Charter and Lease offers a range of activities in regards to private motor boats and yachts. Located in Khayamia Arcade, CBS offers the following :
- Rental of 5 meter motorboats for use within the lagoons
- Rental of 7.5 meter motorboats with a skipper, for outside the lagoons
- Boating school for education in the use of boat handling and usage
- Private shuttle service on request
- Sales of new and used motorboats and motor yachts
- Sales and service of navigational and communication systems
- Service, assistance and repairs in engine maintenance
- Repairs of fibre glass boats
In the future, CBS is currently studying the possibility of offering boats up to 16 meters with
top speeds o 50 knots for weekend and weekly charters as well as a shuttle service to Sharm El
Sheikh and Taba Heights.
