This coffin portrait of an exceptionally refined but unnamed Roman woman dates from ca. AD 160-70. She wears an unusual dark blue tunic with gold clavi (stripes) and a necklace of emeralds and carnelian. Her head is wreathed with a band of delicate gold leaves.
