Cat Mummy

The most popular of all Egyptian animal mummies were those of cats. The cats represented the goddess Bast. This cat mummy was found at Abydos. Bandages were woven in and out, over and around each other to form the intricate geometric pattern. Today, it can be seen in the British Museum.
