Title: Military Museum
Description: The Egyptian Military Museum, located in the Citadel, was founded by King Faruq to glorify the achievements of the Muhammad Ali dynasty. It contains a collection of weapons and costumes illustrating warfare in Egypt from ancient times. Notable are its artifacts of the 1956 Anglo-French-Israeli attack. Since the 1952 Revolution new sections have been added which deal with Egypt's various 20th-century wars, including a whole wing devoted to the October War of 1973.
