The Golden 5
The Golden 5 Hotel in Hurghada is hard to miss. In fact, it is
called the Golden 5 City for a reason, as this is among the
largest hotel complexes one is likely to find in Egypt. It
actually consists of a number of hotels with the Golden 5 as the
flagship. The Golden 5 consists of the Tekkia, Diamond, Al Mas
Palace and Beesh Beesh Village. Besides regular hotel
accommodations, there are also time shares and villas which may be
purchased. These facilities vary from elegant to quaint, from
highly family oriented areas to romantic hideaways.

When one first walks into the lobby of the Golden 5 Hotel, the
spacious grandeur sets the tone for the whole of the complex. It
is  very impressive, with the glass bullet elevators, huge marbled
floors, brass everywhere and chandelier lighting Take one of the
elevators to an upper floor and look out upon the landscape and
one really begins to get the immensity of this facility.
This is one of those hotel resorts that define the term
all-inclusive. One need not exit the property to find almost any
type of entertainment one might be looking for in a beach
community, and then some. Perhaps one of the first items that a
visitor might notice is the Cable Car system, needed to shuttle
guests around this huge complex to the various facilities. Or, at
the right moment, one might find a helicopter flying into the
hotel complex's very own heliport. The facility comes complete
with an artificial lake, 750 meters of private beach and its own
marina.

These facilities includes just about every amenity, shared by
all the hotels in the complex, including a shopping arcade with 73
shops including a beauty center and souvenir shops, in house
doctor, laundry and valet services, safety deposit boxes,
children's services including a day nursery and baby sitting,
meeting facilities and a shuttle bus services between the airport
and downtown Hurghada.

 Some of the hotel’s recreational facilities include three
interconnecting swimming pools, a children's pool and a toddler
splash pool. There is a diving center for scuba or snorkeling, a
windsurfing center, various courts including floodlit clay tennis
courts, basketball courts, volley ball courts (as well as beach
volley ball) and even a squash court. There is also a very
complete health center with a gymnasium, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam
bath, massage and aerobics. In addition, there is a horse stable,
a billiards center, as ell as an open-air chess and table tennis
area. Various boat excursions are available including a glass
bottom boat, a banana boat, and even a submarine. There are also
video games for the kids who just can't leave home without them.
There is also a discotheque and the Dancing Fountain.

specific facility, but include televisions, private baths,
telephones, air conditioning, taped music and all rooms have
private balconies.

shop within the Billiards Center, Two Pool area coffee shops and
bars, a multi theme restaurant, the Dancing Fountain, the Cable
Car Restaurant, an Italian restaurant and the Discotheque Top
Coffee Shop.
