KA of King Horus Dachur

This statue is of the royal KA of King Horus Dachur (twelfth dynasty, 2000b.c. ) ( Cairo Museum ). At death the KA represents the appetites and the desires of the deceased, and if they weighed too heavily, it was believed that the female monster ( the devourer ) would feast on the dead.
