National Day of Guiza Governorate
Guiza Governorate is the second richest area in terms of available ancient Egyptian monuments as, Qena, which houses the Thebes monuments, come first.
Guiza was built by the Arabs in 642 AD.
They gave this name (Guiza or landing point) because it was the landing point for Arabs as they cross the Nile from al-Fustat to the west bank of the Nile.
