Ancient Artifacts Returned
It has been confirmed by a committee, formed by the Ministry of State for Antiquities, that artifacts stolen during the events of January 28th have been seized and safely returned this week.
The 22 artifacts, including rare pottery and five brass coins dating to the Ptolemaic era, were stolen from the museum storehouse of eastern Quantara. These artifacts were confirmed to be on the Red List, a catalogue of Egyptian cultural objects at risk. This List was compiled by the International Council of Museums and submitted to Interpol for investigation.
Almost 300 hundred artifacts have been returned since the looting.
