March 29, 2012 - "The Gallery" located in Zamalek, is hosting an exhibition of Egyptian artists surreal paintings. The exhibition, titled "Surrealism, Present Day Cairo", and is taking place from March 24th - April 26th.

March 20, 2012 - The second annual Dahab Festival will take place on April 14 - 20, 2012 this year in Dahab. Like last year, there will be plenty of water sports as well as yoga, and activities to introduce you to the local Bedouin culture. We'll have more about it when it's closer!

February 5, 2012 - Egypt's first "Museum of the Crocodiles" opened last month, coinciding with Aswan National Day celebrations. The museum, which houses 22 crocodile mummies ranging in size from 1.5 - 5 meters long, is located in the town of Kom Ombo, not far from the Temple of Sobek, and is now open to the public.

January 16, 2012 - The latest major discovery of a tomb in the Valley of the Kings has just occurred. The 3,000 year old tomb of a singer from the 22nd Dynasty to the ancient god Amon Ra was accidentally unearthed by a team of Swiss archaeologists, and leads arcaheologists to believe that the Valley of the Kings also houses tombs of normal people as well.
