About Pyramid Construction

While we cannot say with all certainty exactly how pyramids were built, we have, over the years, found evidence that suggests much about how they were built. We have found tools with which stone was cut and tools that helped the Egyptians align the pyramids. We have also found ramps that allow us to theorize about how the large blocks of stone were lifted, and we have even discovered several villages where the workers lived who built pyramids.

So while perhaps some specific details remain, there is really little mystery left on pyramid construction, though there were certainly different techniques used to build different pyramids (for example, stone verses mud brick).
