Weather in Sharm El Sheikh

The Egyptian resort town of Sharm El Sheikh on the Red Sea has a relatively stable climate most of the year round, having only two real seasons: summer and fall/autumn.

January
In January, average temperatures ranging from a high of 70°F (21°C) to lows of 61°F (16°C) in the peak of the winter season.  The weather is great for spending some time relaxing in front of the beautiful water with a book, and maybe even take a dip if you dare!

February
In February, you can expect to experience temperatures of 75°F (24°C), and 64°F (18°C), making a rather pleasant winter destination.

March
The weather in March is pretty much the same as the last few months.  Temperatures reach a high of 82°F (28°C) during the day and a low of 63°F (17°C) at night, making it much warmer than most places in the northern hemisphere at this time of year.

April
It starts to really warm up in April as the winter season comes to an end.  Temperatures go up to 86°F (30°C) making the water a viable option, and the night-time temperatures are around 70°F (21°C).  The end of the winter season means that soon Sharm El Sheikh will be filled with tourists for some of the best diving, snorkeling, and tanning around!

October
Sharm El Sheikh in October is ideal because you’ve just passed the scorching peak of the summer months, without beginning the winter season just quite yet.  Temperatures are still hot enough (highs of 93°F/34°C, lows of 75°F/24°C) to take a dip or go diving in the warm waters of the Red Sea, or even get a great tan while relaxing in front of the sea.  It’s the perfect place to be to get away from the cold autumn winds beginning to blow back home.

November
November in the resort town of Sharm El Sheikh is quite comfortable, especially considering the temperatures most of the world experiences during this winter month.  While your friends and family are enjoying a Thanksgiving turkey at home as an escape from the blistering winds blowing outside, you’ll be enjoying the relatively warm temperatures (84°F/29°C as a high, 75°F/24°C as a low), making it still a pleasant time to visit, and maybe even go for a swim, though definitely great for at least relaxing!

December
Sharm El Sheikh is a great destination during the winter month of December.  While temperatures are not at their warmest during the Christmas and New Year’s Eve holiday period, they are still pretty warm, with temperatures around 70°F (21°C), and being about 55°F (13°C) at night.  You’ll be able to enjoy some fireworks and lots of celebrations for the holidays here, while spending a memorable holiday season away from home.
