Taste of Egypt Tour
Only have one week to see the best history has to offer? No problem! The Taste of Egypt Tour has 7000 years of history packed into 7 days! You’ll have a chance to tour the Pyramids, see King Tut’s Golden Mask and cruise down the Nile, all included in this great tour! Day 1 (Wednesday Oct 5, Oct 12, Oct 19, or Oct 26) - Meet & Assist You’ll be met and assisted by our representative at the airport and escorted to your hotel for a relaxing night in and a good sleep.
Day 2 (Thursday) – Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum Wake up and have your breakfast at the hotel, followed by a 9:00 am drive to one of the great wonders of the world: the Giza Pyramids. The three pyramids are: Cheops (the biggest) followed by Khefern (the middle pyramid) and last, but definitely not least, Mankura (the smallest of the lot). Whilst in Giza, you'll also get to see the legendary Sphinx – truly a sight to remember. You'll then be driven to necropolis Sakkara and see the Step Pyramids of king Zoser and the tomb of queen Tee, this will be followed by a lovely lunch of oriental food in a 5 star local restaurant. After lunch, you'll be taken to visit the old capital of Egypt, Memphis, and the alabaster statue of king Ramses the second. After lunch, you’ll visit the magnificent Egyptian Museum which holds over 25,000 monuments from ancient Egyptian times. Here you'll have the opportunity to come face to face with ancient artifacts, and if you're lucky enough, you'll even be able to see the infamous Golden Mask of King Tut. After concluding your visit to all the major sites in Cairo, you'll be transferred to the railway station where you'll take the 8:00 pm overnight, sleeper train on half board accommodation to Aswan.
Day 3 (Friday) - Aswan Nile Cruise Your breakfast will be served on the train, after which you'll be met at the Aswan railway station by one of our representatives. Your trip will start at 10:00 am with a visit to the unfinished obelisk – the largest known ancient obelisk, followed by the High Dam of Aswan – also the biggest dam in the world, and finally a visit to Elephantine Island and Philae temple. After concluding your sightseeing for the day, you'll check in to your Nile Cruise, have lunch on board where you'll spend the night.
Day 4 (Saturday) - Kom Ombo Breakfast will be served on board as we set sail to Kom Ombo, stop off at Kom Ombo and then start sailing to Edfu where we dock and you have a good night's rest.
Day 5 (Sunday) - Esna Lock to Luxor Breakfast served on board as we sail via Esna Lock to Luxor where we dock for the night and you sleep aboard the ship.
Day 6 (Monday) - Luxor to Cairo Breakfast will be served on board, then you’ll be checking out of the Nile Cruise and then visit the Luxor temple (on the East Bank of the Nile), the Karnak temple, the Valley of kings (on the West Bank), the Valley of queens, the Hatshepsut temple and finally, the Colossi of Memnon. You’ll then be transferred to the railway station and start on your journey back to Cairo aboard the overnight, sleeper train.
Day 7: Tuesday You’ll wake up on the train where you’ll have breakfast. Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the Giza Railway Station by one of our representatives, and then you’ll be escorted to the airport where you will head back home with warm feelings, unforgettable memories and a promise to return!
