Red Sea - The Kingston

The Kingston

Another ship built by Oswalds, this British cargo ship was wrecked "in the Gulf of Suez", February 16, 1891. She was fitted with compound inverted engines, being built in 1881. She was carrying coal from London to Aiden. At 262 feet long (this could be the wreck near Shaab Ali, known as the Carina. A further survey of the known dive site is needed, 1) to find coal and 2) to identify the types of engines at the site).
