Takelot I

Twenty-Second Dynasty

 

The son of Osorkon I, Takelot reigned, apparently unremarkably, for fifteen years. He seems to have had difficulty controlling his family; his son, the High Priest at Thebes, refused to accept his authority. He was succeeded by another son, who reigned as Osorkon II.
