Eunapius of SardisPtolemaic Dynasty
Eunapius of Sardis, was an author who remarked of the Egyptians that they were 'mad about poetry, but have no interest in any serious study'. By this time openhanded royal patronage, the Museum and the Great Library, had long since vanished.
