Herit was a princess of the 15th Dynasty and daughter of Apophis, who was a Hyksos. Her name and rank were learned from fragments of a vase that were found in a tomb at Thebes. The vase may have been taken by the Egyptians when the capital, Avaris, which was the home of the Hyksos kings, surrendered to 'Ahmose I's army.
