Ikudidy was an official during the reign of Senwosret I. He led military units and a caravan into the oases regions of the western desert, which had never been tried before. Egyptians had explored much of the eastern desert, but this was the first expedition into the west. After a long and loyal service to the throne, he was buried at Abydos.
