Lysikrates
Roman Emperors
Lysikrates was one of the Greek military elite, which was threatening to reduce Kephalas to the status of a slave. Kephalas had bought wine on credit from Lysikrates, paid the debt in two installments, but had not obtained a receipt for the second, with the predictable result that he was claimant that the debt was still owed. He asks that Apollodorus, one of the 'First Friends' be instructed to investigate the matter and make sure that, if Kephalas' version is accepted, Lysikrates is allowed no grievance against Kephalas' property.
