18th Dynasty

Meriptah served during the reign of Amenhotep III. He was the high priest of the god Amon and conducted major religious festivals in the court at Thebes. He was alive during the rise of the god Aten. Aten played a very important role of the life of Egypt during the reign of Akhenaten. Meriptah was buried at Thebes.
