PlotinusRoman Emperors
A pagan, Plotinus indulged in polemic against believers in gnosticism. Plotinus was from an Egyptian town called Lycopolis, and was one of its brightest sons. He was sent to Alexandria, then to Rome, and became one of the major intellectual figures of later antiquity.
