Subatianus AquilaRoman Emperors
Another prefect of Egypt, Subatianus Aquila who dealt with a combination of legal, military and financial responsibilities, in practice frequently inseparable, which required considerable skill and conferred great power. The title of prefect, even with his staff, was a daunting position.
