Theshen was an official of the 5th Dynasty, serving in the reign of Sahure'(2458-2446 B.C.). Theshen was a treasurer, who served the king as counselor and companion as well. His tomb was prepared for him when he was a small child, as a gift from his father Zezemoonekh. Theshen cherished the tomb and added adornments over his lifetime.
