Eighteenth Dynasty

Userhat was an official of the 18th Dynasty, and served Amenhotep II (1427-1401 B.C.). He was raised in the palace in Thebes, likely as a companion of the prince. Userhat started his career as a scribe, a position that he held throughout his life. He was buried at Thebes. His tomb is known for its depictions of hunting and the daily routines of life along the Nile during the era in which he lived.
