Shabti Box

Description:

Painted shabti box of the Theban priestess Henutmehyt. She is shown adoring two of the canopic deities. These shabtis are intended to carry out agricultural activities for her in the afterlife. The box was constructed of wood in the 19th to 20th Dynasties. It stands 34.5 cm high.
