Pluvial

A long age of steady and seasonal rainfall. The Sahara Desert has been subject to a number of pluvial eras in its history, the last one ending around 30,000 to 40,000 years ago. The cycle of pluvials in various desert sites around the world have been positively linked to the cycle of ice ages.
