This site is the house reef for Quseirs Subex Dive Center, a truly enjoyable dive just a few steps from the local dive shop.

You can enter from the jetty and dive either left or right along either arm of the bay, or you can opt for a Zodiac ride from the jetty to the outer reef, from where you can dive back into the bay for an eventual exit at the jetty. Scattered pinnacles line the reef edge on both sides of the bay, and the topography of the reef mass is extremely varied in both directions, with outcrops, caves, tunnels, chimneys and huge variety of corals.

The outer reaches of the bay are excellent for schooling fish, with deep water meeting the reef at both corners. Tuna, jack, fusiliers, mackerel and snapper are all abundant, while on the reef Napoleon and other wrasse, lots of morays, big groupers and rock cod, lionfish, trumpetfish and goatfish are all part of a very vibrant fish population. On the sand, gray morays, gobies and shrimp are all present, and in the inshore sand shallows schools of squid are a common sight.
