A Thanks to Our Tour Egypt Community

Egypt Month Publisher and Webmaster, Jimmy Dunn

Recently, a man from the UK emailed me explaining some problems we had with our Virtual Red Sea Diving Center, specifically, with shipwrecks. Some of them were just not correct. His name is Ned Middleton and he is a highly knowledgeable professional underwater photo-journalist. He is also the perfect example of what makes Tour Egypt tick.

Since his initial email, he has completely reworked our shipwrecks section, not only correcting our mistakes, but also adding much more information and making it a much more interesting read, as well as much more useful for people perhaps heading for that locale. He is even sending us additional pictures and graphics, and is now taking a look at our Dive Sites section to determine what can be improved in that section. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Middleton for his efforts. He will be coming out with a book on the Red Sea, and we will review it for our readers as soon as it is available. I look forward to this, as his knowledge of diving the area seems almost limitless.

But the point that I am attempting to make is that this sort of effort by many people, and particularly all of our writers, and editors of the Tour Egypt magazine, makes Tour Egypt what it is today; perhaps the best and most up to date resource on Egypt available in one place.

Tour Egypt is, and I hope will always be, an enthusiast web site, where people who love Egypt come together to help others. Of course, we try our best to help people with their trip plans, but I also hope that some of the great feelings we have for this country and its people somehow transfer to our readers.

We of course encourage everyone who love Egypt and who has specific knowledge about the country to join in. From writing feature articles for our magazine to simply helping travelers on the BBS, we appreciate our community of people who do so much, and every new member of this community is welcomed as a member of our family.
